Hung Hing is grateful to have received the Smart Energy Excellence Award 2021 from CLP for recognizing its efforts in sustainability.

One of the major initiatives of the Group is the installation of a 526kWp solar power system at its headquarters in Tai Po, offsetting about 113 tons of carbon emissions. Other measures of reducing its carbon footprint include the use of environmentally friendly materials such as FSC and PEFC certified paper, soya ink and water-based varnishing materials, which reduced total VOC emissions from 361 tons to 96 tons from 2016 to 2019.

The Smart Energy Award is to recognise organizations for their excellence in energy efficiency and management, smart technology application and renewable energy support. Hung Hing was selected under the Renewable Energy category amongst the 630-plus entries this year.
